The only thing that belongs to the authors is any original characters and the plotlines of their stories.

If you want a unfinished series or story to be completed, send positive feedback to the author requesting that it be finished. That's the best method. In fact, positive feedback is always good, for complete and incomplete stories. It makes writers write more, and more Faithfic is always a good thing!
