Joining the list is easy. First of all, you must be registered with onelist. Go here to do that. Then either send an email to Faithful-subscribe@onelist.com. or go here. To get off the list, log into onelist, click on Faithful under the heading "My Groups", and then click the "Modify" button under the "Membership" header and then click the unsubscribe option or send an email to Faithful-unsubscribe@onelist.com.Do not send an email to the list saying "Please unsub me." There are over 150 people on the list, and that creates a huge amount of unnecessary mail.

I just watched tonight's episode, and it's great. Can I discuss it?
You can discuss the episodes after they air, but please remember that some people may not have seen it yet, especially if you live in Canada or on the East Coast. Just make the subject something like "Spoilers for tonight's episode" and then be sure to put in spoiler space, like this:

How do I get my story up on the archive?
If you're on the list, just post it. From here, your fic will be archived unless:
1) Your fic is untitled.
2) Your fic includes smartquotes.(See below for more information)
3) You specifically request that your fic not be archived.

What do I need to put in my header? And are there any other requirements for fic?

Author: Your name or pseudonym here.
Rating: We go by the MPAA ratings system. G is fine for all audieneces, PG may have some language or violence, PG-13 has more violence or mild sexual content, R has major violence or non-explicit sexual content, NC-17 is explicit sexual content or extreme violence. If you are not sure about the rating of a particular fic, err on the higher side, i.e. rate as an R rather than a PG-13
Summary: Tell us what the story is about. (one to two sentences, please.)
Disclaimer: Remember, we don't own these characters. Fanfic is barely legal, so keep it that way by crediting those who do own this property.
After you write this wonderful fic, SPELL CHECK IT. Also, check for grammar mistakes, and please insert one blank line after every paragraph. These are small things, but help greatly at the archiving level. Another thing that helps is not using smartquotes, because they are evil. Here, from Juniper and Angel, are instructions on how to remove them.
Go to the Tools menu.
Click the Autoformat tab and uncheck the little box that says "Replace straight quotes with smartquotes"
Now, click the AutoFormat as You Type tab and unclick the box that says "Replace straight quotes with smartquotes"
That should take care of it! ANY FIC WITH SMARTQUOTES WILL NOT BE ARCHIVED.
How many times a day can I post to the list?
We have a general rule of no more than six posts a day, but if you have a legitimate reason for wanting to post more, contact us at faithful@chickmail.com and we'll see if we can work out a compromise.
What is Faithful's policy on plagiarism?
If you plagiarize someone's work and we find out, you will be removed from the list and banned. No exceptions, unless you can conclusively prove that it was unintentional. Any works containing plagiarized elements will NOT be archived.
I saw a really great picture on the site, can I have it?

Someone posted a fic, but I lost it. What do I do?
If it's not up on the website, you can search through the official Faithful list archives at Escribe. Or you can email the author privately looking for it. Please don't email the list.
Can I advertise my website on the list?
Sure. Just label the post off-topic and make it short. Please don't write archive fics. If you have something to say, just say it. Everyone will thank you. This goes for any and all off-topic posts.
I found a beautiful picture of Faith, can I send it to the list?
In a word, no. This list is set to remove attachments from e-mails, and it won't go through. Some people read their e-mail with Eudora, Outlook, and similar programs, and attachments drastically slow down the download rate. A better plan is to upload the picture to any webspace you might have, or to the shared files at onelist, and then e-mail the list with the url. If you can't do that, e-mail the listowner about it.
A friend sent me a great forward, can I send it to the list?
First of all, if you have AOL and you forward something to the list, it'll read as an attachment, and it won't come through (see above). You'll be sending everyone a blank email. Jokes are ok, as long as you label them jokes and delete all the headers and footers. If you send a chain letter to the list, you will be unsubbed.
