[Los Angeles - Angel's Apartment]
Buffy held the door open as Angel carried Missy into the back of the car.
"So I guess that's it huh?" Buffy said quietly as Angel gently shut the door.
"Yeah."
"I'll see you soon?" She said, staring into his eyes for a brief moment.
He nodded.
She watched as Angel headed for the apartment and slowly disappeared into the shadows. It was still hard for her to see him without old memories being brought back, but she was moving on. Buffy sighed and turned to look at the girl sleeping peacefully in the back. She never thought that she could love again, but she did. And she knew she had loved Faith since the day she met her.

[Los Angeles - Somewhere In The Streets Of Downtown L.A.]
Buffy walked into the groceries store and browsed around for a few minutes, trying to decide if she was hungry or not. She had been driving for a while before that and was getting tired. She reached for an empty cup on the shelf beside the big coffee machine and poured herself some decaf mocha. Grabbing the coffee in hand she headed for the snack section, but she hesitated a little and ended up just paying for the coffee.
Stretching her tired legs Buffy walked out and slowly eased herself into the front seat of the car. As she reached for the keys, she glanced at the backseat. Her hand continued towards her pocket but then stopped suddenly, as she whipped her head back towards the rear.
The back seat was empty.

[San Diego - Bus Stop, At Final Destination]
Faith looked forward as the bus stopped.
"End of the line, lady." The bus driver turned to look at Faith as he stood up to stretch then gathered his things.
It was hard being alone. It was even harder staying that way. Deep inside her heart, Faith had wished that the ride would never come to an end. It wasn't because she enjoyed traveling by bus, but instead, just being on the run had always given her some kind of security.
"Hey lady! I said, end of the line." The bus driver repeated as he saw the girl staring into space.
"Yeah! I heard ya! What's with the hurrying shit? What? Your bladder's `bout to explode or something?" Faith eyed the bus driver and stood up to get off the bus.
The sun was beating down on her hard as she looked up to see the clear blue sky. She sighed before she inhaled deeply, trying to leave everything behind her. But the thought of Buffy was like a shadow that followed her quietly in each and every step of the way.
Faith had no idea where she was or what she planned to do from this point on, but something inside her kept telling her that she was home, that this was where she belonged.
Faith wandered down the streets of San Diego, vaguely recognizing her surroundings. It was almost as if she walked down the very same street the day before, but how? The streets, the buildings, the noisy sound of heavy traffic; it seemed like she had been waking up to that every morning for the past few months. She was experiencing some major déjà vu but she couldn't quite place her thoughts together.
Without realizing it, Faith had subconsciously stopped in front of a house, and was surprised by how familiar it looked. Then a flash of memory brought the name 'Torrance' briefly to her mind, but Faith unable to know who that was, or what that meant.
"Torrance..." She whispered the name over and over as she walked up the front path and rang the doorbell.
But there was no answer.
Feeling slightly disappointed, Faith sat on the porch and waited. It was the strangest feeling she had felt all morning, like everything she saw was connected and somehow Faith recognized this place as the key to her answers. Calling it a Slayer's instinct, she knew there was something more than just faint memories here. There was something big and important, and she was determined find out exactly what it was.

Buffy was having a heart attack when she realized that the back seats were empty. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She blinked twice before she came to accept that Faith was gone again.
This time Buffy felt even more heart-broken. She was hoping that she would have the chance to tell Faith how she feels once the girl wakes up. She was going to confess her feelings for her, feelings that she knew she could only deny for so long.
Buffy was out to search for Faith again. She wouldn't forgive herself if she didn't. As she drove down yet another lonely street, her mind cast back to the conversation she'd had earlier with Faith back in the parking lot.
------Beginning of Flash Back -----
`I told *you*! I'm cheerleader okay? Damn it, I'm not lying. Have you ever heard of Rancho Carne High in San Diego? Go check it out, I'm a student there.'
------End of Flash Back ------
"That's it, that's where she is." Buffy screamed in the instant she thought of Faith's words. She quickly turned the car around, making skid marks on the road surface as she headed straight for San Diego.

[San Diego - Outside Torrance's house]
Torrance was walking dejectedly towards her house. Not only had her girlfriend disappeared, but also the police had no idea where she was. As she strolled down the footpath deep in thought, she casually gazed up at her house to see a brunette figure sitting on the front porch.
'It can't be...' she thought as she broke into a sprint, racing towards her house. She grabbed Faith and pulled her into a close, tight embrace for several moments, pulling back only to talk to her and only ever so slightly.
"Oh my God! Missy! I can't believe it! Are you okay? I was so worried about you!" Torrance blurred out, letting a tear roll down her face.
"I'm five by five."
