San Diego - On The Road To Sunnydale]
Buffy pulled over to the side of the road and covered her face with her hands as she rested her forehead on the steering wheel. The tears that came flowing like a waterfall had blurred her vision. The Slayer tightened her fists and banged on the dashboard, denting the plastic of glove compartment.
She felt her lungs weaken with each breath she took as she sat there thinking of Faith. Buffy had always claimed that Angel was her one true love, but when she met Faith, she knew they were destined to be together. And up until now, Buffy had believed so blindly that this was true, and that Faith would come home to her as always.
But she was wrong.
Just like Faith said, Buffy had her chance. She had her chance and she blew it. She could have told Faith how she felt months ago, but she didn't. She had no one else to blame expect herself. She pushed Faith away when the younger Slayer needed her the most. If only she had been there for Faith the whole time, then none of this would have happened. Faith would never have turned to the Mayor, or Torrance. If only she had the courage to confront the brunette that she needed her more than anything else, then she would be here crying right now. If only she could be given with second chance.

[San Diego - Torrance's House, Down Stairs]
"But I don't wanna lose you." Torrance sobbed and buried herself in Faith's chest, grabbing the sleeves of the slayer.
"You won't." Faith brought her hand up and ran her fingers through the strands of blond hair. Breaking up with Torrance was a lot harder than she thought. She gently lifted the girl's head to meet her in the eyes before she continued, "I'll always be here for you, Tore. Always. You know that don't you?"
"Yes, but that's not the same." Torrance protested, and pleaded to Faith with her eyes.
"I know...and I'm sorry." Faith sighed. "I wish things could be different between us..."

Torrance stood there as she watched Faith head down the street. She had regretted everything she said the minute the brunette stepped out the door. She closed her eyes, torn between wanting to fight for Faith or to just give up on love for good.

[Sunnydale - UC Sunnydale]
Buffy eased up on the accelerator as she noticed the 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign on her right. Time hadn't exactly been passing quickly, but she hadn't been particularly aware of her driving.
Vaguely thankful for the lack of traffic, the Slayer soon pulled into the UC Sunnydale Student Parking Lot. Though the idea of getting out and freeing up a parking spot by hand had begun to seem tempting, Buffy eventually found a spot to park the car.
The Slayer was exhausted from the trip to LA, and her earlier breakdown. She stepped out of the car and dragged herself towards the trunk. She grabbed her backpack, slipped it onto her shoulder, and walked to her dorm.
Buffy went down the noisy hallway in a preoccupied fashion. Her mind was heavy with thoughts of explaining her sudden disappearance to Giles and Xander. Oddly enough, the old Sunnydale seemed to be in the same condition as she left it. Buffy continued through the crowded building and realized that nobody had even said hello to her. No one even noticed that she was gone for three days. The world seemed to function just fine without her.
Buffy sighed and turned at the corner of the hall to her room, her head hung low. Then all of a sudden something black entered her field of view. The slayer took another step forwards and saw a familiar pair of boots.
"What are you doing here?" she asked without even looking up.
"I came here to see you." The dark Slayer pushed herself away from the wall to face the blond.
"...I thought you love her." Buffy swallowed hard and raised her head to see Faith. Her body shook slightly and her voiced cracked a little.
It broke the younger Slayer's heart to Buffy all beaten up like this. She could tell that the girl had been crying.
"Well," Faith cocked her head to the side and shrugged, then turning back slowly to see Buffy in the eyes she continued, "...I lied."
Buffy felt her tears draw lines down her cheeks as she ran towards Faith. The blond crushed her head to Faith and held her close as they embraced.
Faith wrapped her arms tightly around the sobbing Slayer, knowing that everything would be fine from this point on. She reached up her hands and cupped Buffy's face in her palms. Staring into those beautiful green eyes of hers, Faith leaned in and captured Buffy's lips with her own.

[Sunnydale - Faith's Apartment]
"B, where the hell did you put my pompoms? Come on, I need them now. I'm supposed to meet Torrance ten minutes ago." Faith shouted as she flipped and tossed everything in sight.
"They're right beside that ugly looking lamp." Buffy yelled from the bathroom.
"I still can't find them, B." Faith said while rummaging through every pile of things she could find. Buffy walked in with a towel wrapped around her fine figure, pointing at the corner of the room.
"Thanks B, I thought I already looked there." Faith walked to the other side of the room and bended over to pick up her pompoms, unaware that Buffy was staring at her assets.
"...damn, never knew she looked that hot in one of those outfits.." Buffy mumbled quietly to herself. It was the first time she had ever seen Faith wearing the Rancho High Cheerleading Uniforms. No, better yet, it was the first time she ever really noticed how attractive Faith looked without leather.
"Faith, could you grab me that towel beside you, please? My hair's dripping water all over the carpet."
Faith walked over to Buffy and noticed the grin on her face. She smiled, and covered the older Slayer's face with the towel before she rubbed her hair dry.
Faith heard Buffy moan deep in her chest and felt a pair of hands on her butt. Faith lost herself in Buffy's arousal and before she knew it, they were engaging in a passionate kiss.
Faith moved her hands down Buffy's body and broke the kiss to nibble on her ear. Catching a glimpse of the pompoms on the floor she suddenly realized that she had forgotten all about Torrance and the whole practice thing. Faith sighed as she struggled to push Buffy away, "B, I need to get to the practice..."
Buffy backed off and plopped down on the bed. She pouted her lips and pleaded with her eyes.
"I'll be back in a few hours, okay?"
"Well, if I am not interesting enough for you, then I guess you better go and build your pyramid." Buffy replied, slipping off her towel. She sat there staring at the brunette as she began drawing circles around her nipple and biting down on her bottom lip.
Faith knew she should have been out the door by now, but she was captivated by the view. "Awww, damn it B. Why did you have to go and do that?" the younger Slayer protested as she crawled slowly up the bed.
"Oh, but I thought you had a practice to go to?" Buffy gasped and teased Faith as she brought a finger to her lips.
Faith raised an eyebrow at the naughty Slayer and replied, "Well, I'm looking at you, aren't I?"
