[Somewhere in the City of Lost Souls - Los Angeles] Faith stood there alone. She shivered a little and rubbed her hands together. She was cold, but strangely enough, it had nothing to do with the L.A. breeze. It was, however, a reaction caused by Buffy's harsh-cold attitudes.
She sighed. Looking up to see the night sky, she thought to herself, < What are you still doing here Faith? And just what in hell are you trying to prove to yourself, to her? > She knew the sole reason why she was here. She knew it all along; she didn't come here to make amends with dead-boy. Hell, she couldn't careless what goes on in that detective office of his. She was here because she knew that Buffy would come, that Buffy would find her wherever she goes.
The door slammed open and Buffy stepped out on the roof. She saw Faith standing a few feet in front of her.
"You're *not* gonna run, Faith."
"What do you wanna do? You're gonna throw me off the roof *again*?" Faith still didn't turn around to face her. She had too much sorrow in her right now.
"Any reasons why I shouldn't?" Buffy said coldly as she took another step towards her.
"Angel said there was no way you were gonna give me a chance." She finally had the courage to look Buffy in the eyes.
"I gave you *every* chance!" Buffy was furious. She was tired of all her excuses, her lies. For once, just once, she wished that Faith would be honest with her.
"I tried so hard to help you, and you spat on me," she continued. "My life was just something for you to play with. Angel, Riley, anything that you could take from me you took. And now you're asking for another chance. There's no way in hell I'm gonna give you another chance."
"Why does everything have so be so difficult with you huh? Why can't you just trust me?" Faith couldn't control her anger. "Damn it B, do you think you're a *Saint* or something? Can you honestly tell me that you've never done anything wrong in that pity little life yours?? Huh? Can you??"
"Shut up! This isn't about me, I didn't kill anyone!" Buffy yelled and regretted it immediately.
"It was an accident!! God, you were there when it happened. You'd seriously think I want any of this? Come on B, stop playing with me! Just tell me how to make it better."
Buffy saw the look on her face. She could tell that she was hurt, no, more than hurt. If she knew what pure pain felt like she'd have to say that Faith was feeling it now. Buffy felt sadness in her chest when she glanced at her once more. It was tearing up her inside just as much.
"I don't know Faith..." she was quiet now, "I honestly don't know."
The door to the roof busted open and a man stepped in, firing the machinegun in his hand. Buffy rushed to protect Faith.
"Come on, I think we can make it to the other building."
"Go, now!"
They ran. But as soon as they reached the edge, a black helicopter came hovering in front of them. Buffy grabbed Faith by the arm and they both ran to hide behind a skylight.
"Stay here. I have to take this guy out." Buffy commanded. Faith nodded in agreement.
A few moments later Angel came in to help and finally got the situation under control. Buffy watched until the helicopter left and turned towards the skylight.
"Faith! Faith?"
But Faith was nowhere to be found.
*** [Somewhere ELSE in the City of Angels - East Compton High]
Missy held hands with Torrance as they sat and watched the Clovers dance. Torrance was a little nervous than usual, and that was because she couldn't believe what she was seeing. The Clovers were good, real good.
"Hey...you feeling okay?" Missy asked, reaching a hand over Torrance and rubbed her back gently. "You know we have to do this right?"
"Ya...I know..." Torrance sighed and rested her head on Missy's shoulders.
"...Come on Tore, don't worry. I'm right here with you, okay?" She said, and leaned in to give her a light kiss on the lips.
"Hey!" The team captain Isis yelled to them from a distance, "Did you guys enjoy the show?"
Missy glanced over to see the Clovers walking slowly towards them. "We thought you guys were awesome." Torrance greeted the Clovers when they reached them.
"Oh really? Does that mean you're ready to share the trophies?" Isis scoffed.
"Look, I'm really sorry. I had no idea that Big Red ripped you guys off." Torrance stood up to apologize. She really had no clue that the previous captain stole the Clover's routines and called it the originals.
"I say we just beat the Buffy's down, so we can all go home." A girl jumped out from behind and exclaimed, showing off nothing but her terrible attitude.
"Now look, there's no need for that." Missy finally stood up, putting an arm around her girl. She wasn't gonna let anyone touch her.
"Look, I'm just trying to make things right okay? I know your team needs some money to go to the Nationals," Torrance was completely sincere, "and I got my dad to sponsor you guys. Here, take this."
Isis took the check in her hands, glanced at it once before she torn it up right in front of her. "We don't need your charity money."
"Hey! Back off! She's just trying to help." Missy said defensively. She wasn't gonna let them ride her.
"You wanna help? Fine. Then give us all you've got. When you go to the Nationals, *bring* it, don't slack off cuz you feel sorry for us. That way, when we beat you, we'll know that's cuz we're better."
"Oh we'll bring it. Don't worry." Missy narrowed her eyes while Torrance held on to her a little tighter.
"I never do." And with that said, the Clovers turned their backs on them and walked away.

[East Compton High - Parking Lot]
Missy held the car door open for Torrance and waited for her to settle in. It was 10:30pm and Torrance was already exhausted from the trip they made down here. Missy gave her a smile before she shut the door close. She then stepped to move to the driver's side.
Missy was just about to get in the car when she heard a distant shouting. Driven by pure curiosity, she tiptoed to see the chaos. And that was when she saw the blonde girl racing towards her.
"Faith! You're not gonna run away again!!!"
